Crows Feet

Fine lines and wrinkles that form near the outer corners of your eyes.

What is it?

As we get older, the natural production of collagen and elastin, the proteins that preserve skin texture and elasticity, gradually diminishes. This decrease in collagen and elastin production results in a gradual loss of skin tightness and resilience over time. Consequently, crow's feet (so named due to their resemblance to the foot of a crow), sometimes also called laugh lines, emerge. They can also form as a result of continuous squinting and smiling.

How is it treated?

Depending on the severity of your unwanted lines and wrinkles, prescription medications and topical creams may provide some relief, however, Botox is generally the most effective treatment for crow's feet. Botox injections are carefully administered into the skin to temporarily relax the facial muscles in the affected area, preventing muscle contractions that cause wrinkles.
